WHO ARE WE?

Quebec society is aging significantly and the Town of Mount Royal population is no exception. The Town of Mount Royal Volunteer Centre was founded in 2000, at the request of the CLSC (Centre de Loisirs et des Services Sociaux), with the support of the Town and the help of citizens already involved in the community.

It is a non-profit organization created to offer services that complement existing resources, specifically to meet needs that require mutual aid, a kind ear or an attentive presence for seniors as well as for people temporarily or permanently in need.

To achieve its mission the Centre relies on a grant from the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal, the support of the Town of Mount Royal, the generosity of donors during its funding events and especially its volunteers.

The organization services the territory of the Town of Mount Royal and the Glenmount sector of Montreal.

Our Mission

The Centre's main mission is to offer support and assisted services to the elderly and other people who are is in need, as well as to caregivers.

To this end, the Centre relies entirely on its dedicated and committed volunteers and coordinators.

Its mission is achieved thanks to their determination and ingrained conviction that seniors and people temporarily or permanently in need, do benefit from a warm and caring presence, attentive ear, helping hand and a smile.

Feeling valued and recognized by others greatly improves quality of life, and breaks the isolation of our beneficiaries.
